Free minutes are easy to compare badly.

The first number is obvious. The real cost usually is not.

What A Better Comparison Includes

When you compare two intro offers, check:

  • how many free minutes are actually included
  • what the live rate becomes afterward
  • whether a minimum billed amount still applies
  • whether the offer works on every advisor or only some

The deal is only meaningful if the next step is clear too.

Why Similar Offers Can Produce Different Totals

Two platforms may both advertise a beginner offer and still differ sharply when:

  • one rate jumps much higher after the intro period
  • one platform uses credits or package rules
  • one session is easier to stop cleanly
  • one advisor profile creates more upsell pressure

That is why a headline offer is not the whole comparison.

What To Write Down Before You Compare

Before opening multiple tabs, note:

  • your test budget
  • the maximum total you would accept after the free period
  • whether you are comparing the same type of advisor and question
  • what would count as a meaningful difference between offers

Without that, each teaser can feel better than it really is.

A Better Beginner Rule

Compare the post-offer decision, not just the intro.

If the real next price is still fuzzy, the offer has not earned trust yet.
